We are proud to present a small oval Viennese Biedermeier side table, crafted in Vienna around 1830, representing the refined aesthetic and superb craftsmanship of the early 19th century.
Viennese Biedermeier furniture is renowned for its harmonious proportions, understated sophistication, and exceptional quality of workmanship. For more than two centuries, it has remained a timeless reference point for both classic and contemporary interiors. This side table is a fine expression of that enduring tradition.
The table is supported by a vase-shaped central pedestal set on a well-balanced octagonal base, a characteristic and highly desirable construction found in early Viennese Biedermeier side and occasional tables. The sculptural form highlights the clarity and restraint that define the Biedermeier style.
The piece is veneered in walnut wood and finished with a hand-applied French polish, the only historically appropriate finish for furniture of this quality. The surface displays warm, rich tones and a soft, authentic patina developed over nearly two centuries.
