The circular top has a gilt bronze beaded border, decorated with a central medallion of a bird perched in a cherry branch with an outer-border of 37 various specimen marbles including Porphyry, Onyx, Lapis lazuli, Sienna brocatelle, Breche d'alep, Violet brocatelle and Agate, inset into a black marble base, the white Statuary marble pedestal base with a foliate, reeded carved baluster column and a triform scrolling acanthus carved base.
