About the Item

A George IV period mahogany sofa or breakfast table attributed to Dublin maker Williams and Gibton. The rectangular, tilting top has rounded corners and a thick, double-molded edge. The beautifully figured mahogany is outlined by a strip of rosewood cross-banding. The faceted and tapering column support is raised on four hipped legs with leaf carving and ending in brass box casters.
