About the Item

A Fine 19th century French walnut drapers table of typical rectangular form with a full length undertier or low shelf. The frieze incorporating four equally sized drawers. The table stands on tapering turned legs with fluted detail and is supported on toupie feet. The table top with wide crossbanding and an overhanging edge, all of finely faded colour. The table is a particularly large example and the undertier is a very useful feature, allowing for much more display and storage space. This fine table would make a particularly good buffet or sideboard, the undertier allowing for the storage of serving pieces for the table or for the display of vases and other objects. A very practical piece of furniture with a nice mellow colour that would complement most interior schemes.
