The Polaris Table is a modular dining table, console, or standalone art piece, blending functionality with artistic expression. Symbolizing hope and renewal, the table is inspired by the August 4th, 2020 Beirut explosion. Its design evolved from an intention to repurpose shattered glass into a more profound narrative of healing and transformation. Hand-carved from natural oak wood, it features arabesque-carved legs and a top adorned with stained-glass inlays depicting birds, the sun, and stars. The interplay of light through the glass creates a dynamic and captivating visual effect.
Each table is meticulously handcrafted by skilled Lebanese artisans using
high-quality natural oak and custom-stained glass, making it both a durable and timeless piece. Its modularity and ability to transform into different functions add to its value.
The table is available in custom dimensions and finishes upon request.
Composed of modules, the series of tables can be multiplied and reconfigured according to personal needs.
The Polaris Table with Glass Inlay Module A is modular in design, and features glass inlays and wood marquetry of a sun along with two birds flying side by side and three small stars. It can be purchased as a standalone art piece, alternatively, more than one piece can be joined together to create the dining table and console.
