Elegant pair of French pedestal stands after Francois Linke
These really are the ultimate for a high end interior
Crafted from kingwood with intricate inlay work including floral motifs
Linke (1855) was a famous French ebiniste and cabinet maker working out of Paris
Original works by Linke fetch hundreds of thousands and his work fuses a Rococo style with art nouveau
On this pair the fixtures are original and features lions heads to the corners and paw feet
These stands are designed to house decorative pieces such as busts, vases and statues
The tops are white marble which is smooth and chip free
Bought from a dealer on Marche Biron at Paris antiques markets Viewings available by appointment
