In 1922, together with his wife, Jenny Wiegmann, he converted to Catholicism at the Abbey of Maria Laach. During the 1920s he devoted himself to religious art: commissions for sculptures on church buildings, participation in the “Exhibition of Religious Art” at the Ernst Arnold Gallery in Dresden and in the Vatican Mission Exhibition in the Holy Year of 1925 with his large sculpture “Pope Gregory the Great”. In 1929 he took part in the annual exhibition of the Berlin Secession and, in 1931, in the exhibitions of the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin. Round Dining Table Brown Marble and neutral color shagreen decor handcrafted
Located in Rimini, IT
Round Dining Table Brown Marble, Eco Shagreen Decor Handmade in Italy by Cupioli. In Aurelio round table the scagliola shagreen meets the elegance of the Brown Emperador marble and the refined accents of the polished brass. The purpose is to show to our valued customers a new concept of the scagliola art technique where the scagliola meets and marry contemporary design and materials. Aurelio in his perfect elegance, can be customized with a wide range of colors and different marbles. The " Scagliola Shagreen " consists in the reproduction of the stingray skin, used in the past to cover furniture and furnishings, in the wake of a French tradition that originated in the early 1900s, in the deco period. With our technique it is possible to obtain the same effect as the finest and prestigious leathers, thanks to a meticulous study and a refined methodology, in full respect of nature, without using real animal skins...

French Louis XV Style Ormolu Parquetry Guéridon End Table by François Linke
Located in Los Angeles, CA
A Fine French 19th-20th Century Louis XVI Style Mahogany, Tulipwood and Gilt-Bronze (Ormolu) Mounted Belle Époque Guéridon Circular Side-Table with a Parquetry Top, by François Linke (1855-1946). The single-drawer end table inset with a symmetrical parquetry top an ormolu frieze, the apron with bow-tied swagged floral wreaths, the corners with fruit and acorns ormolu mounts, raised on four tapered legs topped with chased rings and inset spigots, all raised on bell-shaped sabots. Signed on top trim: F. Linke. Circa: Paris, 1890-1900. François Linke (1855-1946) was one of the most celebrated ébénistes of his time. Born in Pankraz, Bohemia, Linke moved to Paris in 1875 and six years later established independent ateliers at 170, rue de Faubourg St. Antoine. As was the practice among contemporaries and noteworthy predecessors, such as Alfred Beurdeley and Henry Dasson, Linke initially produced furniture derived from styles popular during the 18th century ancien régime. By 1900, his worldwide reputation as an individualistic master of high quality furniture was already established. However, with a huge display, placing his extravagant pieces in room settings and winning the Médaille d'Or for his Grand Bureau...
