This refined antique wine tasting table was crafted in France circa 1880 and executed in richly patinated walnut. Designed in the classic tilt-top form, the oval top pivots vertically for ease of storage and display, a practical feature traditionally associated with tasting and salon tables. The tabletop is decorated with finely executed radial walnut parquetry, centered by a subtle compass-star inlay, and framed by a discreet banded border that highlights the quality of craftsmanship and the warm tonal variation of the wood.
