About the Item
Late 19th Century French Two-Tier Dessert or Serving table in the Louis XV Style. Table features an elegant bombe form and cabriole legs, and is decorated with gilt bronze mounts, acanthus scrolls, and sabots. Both tiers are veneered in geometric parquetry design. The top tier lifts off and functions as a removable serving tray, bordered by a pierced brass gallery. Side handles further emphasize its use as a serving piece. The table's sweeping curves, ornate gilt mounts, and refined proportions are hallmarks of the Louis XV revival in France (circa 1880-1900).
Table is ideal for sophisticated interiors, from traditional European settings to eclectic or classic Hollywood Regency decors.
