Dimensioni • Piano in cristallo: 113,5 × 155 × 2 cm • Base: 89 × 56 × 42,5 cm • Altezza totale: 44 cm • Peso complessivo: 100 kg (65 kg il piano, 35 kg la base) Materiali • Cristallo trasparente • Acciaio satinato Il cristallo ha uno spessore di 2 cm; la struttura in acciaio è realizzata con finitura satinata. Il tavolo è stato prodotto nel 1973 e presenta le proporzioni indicate sopra. Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978) ha operato in diversi ambiti: architettura, vetro, design e allestimenti museali. La sua attività professionale inizia dopo aver lasciato l’Accademia d’Arte di Venezia nel 1926, mantenendo un rapporto costante con le botteghe artigiane e con i maestri vetrai veneziani. Per circa vent’anni, fino alla metà degli anni Quaranta, riceve incarichi per edifici, ristrutturazioni e allestimenti.
