About the Item
Antique Italian Neoclassical Painted Kidney-Shaped Vanity ~ Dresser will be the perfect finishing touch for your bedroom, or make a superlative student desk! Hand-crafted from fine hardwoods, it features a kidney shape with a scrolled, set-back upper tier containing a center arched cubby hole flanked by a pair of double drawers. Another pair of double drawers are designed into the lower casework, with a center drawer positioned higher to give the user a bit more knee room. All the drawers feature carved egg
dart bordering, with the lower tier drawers boasting additional relief carvings of laurel sprays. The two-toned painted finish highlights the carved detail and bordering, and has achieved a lovely patina over the decades. No less than eight tapered and fluted legs provide support to provide many more decades of enjoyment!
