A tour de force of Art Deco styling, this vanity retailed by J.B. Van Sciver, showcasing the geometric refinement and architectural influence of the period. The piece features richly patterned parquetry drawer fronts with diamond banding, accented by original pulls. The striking mirror, framed in a Gothic-arched silhouette, evokes skyscraper styling, a hallmark of 1930s designers such as Donald Deskey and Paul Frankl. Resting on tapered octagonal legs and stretcher supports with brass-capped casters, the vanity balances modernist lines with fine craftsmanship. A sophisticated statement piece, it reflects the bold yet refined spirit of American Art Deco furniture.
This vanity comes with a matching chair.
The original glass is dated 1928, we are changing the glass, but I will keep the old one if you like.
