About the Item
An exceptional large vanity with six drawers, two cabinets and triple dressing mirrors. Circa 1900's. Made in England to the highest quality with fully panelled wooden back mirrors, beautiful craftsmanship in mahogany and burr walnut. This vanity has a central vanity area with two pedestals of three drawers. Above the central table top is a mirror with a gothic carved detail, flanked by two small velvet lined corners cabinets. The drawers have burl walnut fronts with elegant solid brass drawer handles. Two full length, arch top mirrors hang to the sides, which can be folded neatly back or displayed open to the side of the vanity.
Size approx; central vanity 129cm wide, plus 44 cm for each folding mirror. 54cm deep, 180cm high.
Great condition for age. The drawers are nice and clean. the vanity show some surface wear in places, notably to the left side of the table top, and a small chip to the inside top of the left pedestal. The two folding mirrors have a slight smudging to the silver plus some pitting in places, notably at the top of the left mirror. (see pics).
