About the Item
Maison Jansen ebonized writing desk of French origin from the mid-20th century. The composition features a central mirror above the writing surface framed by symmetrical drawer elements. A long drawer is set below the writing surface with further storage incorporated into the apron. The desk is raised on tapering legs with gilt accents and fitted with brass hardware. Finely applied gilt line detailing contrasts the ebonized surface throughout.
