Textile Art, handcrafted, Knit and Crochet Art Blanket, Knitted Tapestry, Wall hanging, Affordable Art. A pair of non-identical multicoloured Psychedelic eyes you have the freedom to display in whichever way you wish to create your own character on your wall or furniture. Embracing the human instincts that attract us to facial features and bright colours created a series of knitted eyes, mouths and faces . Adding eyes is the most direct way to give instant personality to any inanimate object; Sunset Eyes are heavily inspired by 1960s toys, cartoons and psychedelic graphics: friendly, nostalgic, but a bit spaced-out. The large scale of this piece means that a building, room or piece of furniture can be transformed into a character, like a giant cuddly version of Mr Potato Head. Knitted and crocheted pieces are individually created and connected in an intricate and time-consuming patchwork/ collage process. Each Blanket is a one-off piece, vibrantly coloured, highly tactile and soft to the touch. It can be displayed as a wall hanging or a throw blanket. Luxurious blends of predominantly wool yarns are hand-worked with accents of speciality yarns, mohair and super-synthetics. This piece was shown part of the group show "Nonfinito" curated by Emma Scully in New York in December 2019. Sold as a pair (displayed measurements are for one eye only, price displayed is for the pair). Paris Essex work is handcrafted by two textile artists, in East London. Recent work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, London , Margate, Barcelona, Lithuania and China, Milan and Paris.
