Luigi Billi (1958-2016)

The artist has realized numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and America, working mainly with the medium of photography, to which she renders new, unexpected and suggestive forms of expression. Worthy of mention are her participations in the 12th National Quadrennial in Rome at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in 1996, the 8th International Biennial of Photography at the Palazzo Brincherasio (Turin, 1999), the 8th Cairo Biennial of Contemporary Art (2001), as well as the Nescafè Brunch
Art Prize, won at the Milan Triennial in 2002. Some of the prestigious spaces and galleries Billi has collaborated with are the Galleria dei Serpenti, Rome; the Ex Mattatoio del Testaccio, 1997

Francesco Netti spends almost fifty years of his life away from his family and his country of origin. In 1843, in Naples, he studied at the San Carlo alle Martelle college of the Piarist fathers and in Naples he graduated in law. He has private painting lessons with Domenico Morelli and in 1855 he entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples; he then continued his painting studies in Rome (1856-1859) and made educational trips to Florence, Turin, Venice, Padua, Ferrara, Bologna and Ravenna.
He makes friends with artists, including Achille Carrillo, Giuseppe Bonolis, Tommaso De Vivo, Michele De Napoli, Adriano Cecioni, Marco De Gregorio...
