A fine ink and hand tinted etching by Peter Jacques
Little is known about Peter, he was a printmaker, working in etching and watercolour, who studied at the Camden Art Center London, then located to Arkwright Road, Finchley Road, at the edge of Hampstead London. He frequently was accepted for exhibitions at the Royal Academy’s Summer Art Show, (82,84,85 and 1986)
This particular piece is called
"Great Moments in History - Cecil Meets King Lobengula" a Satirical scene, signed and dated bottom right dated 1980, numbered bottom left 4/35
The print has been sympathetically framed in a thin ebonized bull nose frame 91cm/74cm.
