About the Item

An Italian pair of beautifully carved and painted wood corbels from the 18th century. These antique decorative wall brackets from Italy each feature exquisite scrolling acanthus leaves and scroll carved bodies with an oval medallion at their center and small top shelve (which were a later addition). The finish is a mix of early and later paints, with primary colors being off-white, greige and gold. Please note that there was something previously glued to the top shelves. This pair of 18th century Italian corbels stand over 2 feet in height and will make wonderful architectural wall decorations for your home!
