1970s Sam Trophia lucite / acrylic shadow box which depicts a dozen different butterfly beauty preserved and suspended in art form in a spectrum of colors, shapes and sizes.
Sam Trophia is the butterfly man of the US. In Key West, you’ll find his butterfly sanctuary which is home to thousands of butterflies. Some of the butterflies included in this shadowbox are now extinct, unfortunately. So this piece is quite a special find and hard to come by.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. I did not notice any issues such as scratches in the lucite, but there may be some very fine scratches that are unnoticeable. Butterflies are all secure.
