The large oval plate features an exquisitely hand-painted outdoor banquet scene depicting Breton villagers gathered around a long table, eating, toasting, and dressed in traditional regional costumes. The pastoral background, cottage setting, and detailed facial expressions reflect the charming storytelling style associated with late-19th-century Breton ceramics. The wide, scalloped border is richly decorated in a vivid blue, green, yellow, and orange palette, incorporating scrolling foliage and four distinct heraldic crests representing different towns of Brittany. These colorful armorials, combined with the lively figural scene, give the piece strong visual presence and collectible appeal.
