We are delighted to offer this absolutely exquisite 19th-century Continetal School oil painting of a mother and child in a gilded and pierced foliate Florentine frame This painting is very serene, of the period, the frame is original and really quite valuable in its own right, as is to often the case I have seen them removed and repurposed as mirrors which sell for twice the value of the painting, it’s a crying shame really as to me, originality is more important that money The pairing is charming, they are a good size to sit over a chest of drawers or hall table Condition is exquisite, I have nothing negative to note as its all wonderful Dimensions Height:- 92cm Width:- 76.5cm Depth:- 4cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
