This is an antique framed woodblock print. A Japanese, after Heian era art scene, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. The Heian period of Japanese history existed between 794 to 1185 Considered to be a high point for classic Japanese art, literature and poetry Framed ox cart procession scene with pleasingly colourful illustrations Mounted within a broad textile border and slim pine frame Hanging wire to rear aids ease of wall mounting This is an an attractive antique framed woodblock print, with a close homage to Heian period artworks.
