A fascinating example of early 19th century domestic handiwork, presented with tasteful restraint. Displays a desirable aged patina and remains in good order throughout Set within an attractive later frame, behind clear protective glass Needlepoint sampler featuring multiple styles of alphabet Attractive Greek Key border enclosing the embroidered field Featuring a pair of monograms, for an HB and NO respectively Dated to the lower corner for 1835, during the reign of William IV Dressed to the rear with hanging braid for ease of mounting A charming and historically engaging decorative textile This is a delightful antique sampler, rich in period character and ideal for wall display within a traditional or country house interior.
