About the Item
Continental faience plaque in the form of a horse,
circa 1840,
Probably Rorstrand.
The plaque is amusingly decorated with a galloping gray horse with a long black tail and mane moulded in three dimensions. Below its legs are green tufts of grass and flowers. There is a hanging hole on the back of the horse.
Dimensions: length 9 1/2 inches x 7 1/2 inches high.
