About the Item

Tanzgruppe mit Dudelsackpfeifer -dance group with bagpipes. Ceroplast From the 1800s Of Nordic Origin polychrome wax composition depicting a genre scene with four figures dressed in seventeenth-century clothing depicted in a festive moment, the two figures on the left are dancing, while the two musicians seated on a bench on the right of the composition are playing wind instruments. In the center of this rectangular wax square, resting on the grass of the meadow, a large pitcher with the initials LMM. The figures have no background as they rest on a wax surface. The frame is made of wood lacquered in ochre with green interior profiles. In good state of conservation. On the back is a typewritten label with the title in German Nr. 132 Tanzgruppe mit Dudelsackpfeifer -dance group with bagpipes. Period: ca. 1850. Height: 12.5cm Width: 17.8 cm Depth: 1.5 cm This small painting is shipped from Italy.
