About the Item
A fine pair vintage Arabia porcelain wall plates from the Mother and Child Series by Heljä Liukko-Sundström (b.1938) for Arabia, Finland and made in 1983. The wall plates are of rounded shape with squared off side edges and both have a raised square shaped plaque to the centre which has a gloss glazed finish and portrays a mother and her child. One is titled 'First Steps' and the other 'Together' and both have printed details to back in four languages. The wall plates have hanging loops attached to the back and from a limited edition of 1000 pieces.
