About the Item
This is a ceramic figurine made in the Showa period of Japan.
It depicts a carp and a human clinging to it.
This is based on a part of a story made in the Edo period.
This human's name is called Kintaro.
The main character, Kintaro, is very strong and brave, and a children's story about him growing up was made in the Edo period.
This work depicts the story of Kintaro who catches a giant carp.
It is also expressed as a print. (with reference photo)
In Japan, Kintaro is considered to be like a guardian deity for boys, symbolizing success, strength, and bravery.
This figurine is believed to have been made from the end of the Meiji period to the middle of the Showa period (1900 to 1950).
Cute carp and Kintaro.
A wooden pedestal is included, so you can display it on top of it.
In addition, it has a hole so that it can be hung on the wall, so you can fill it with water and decorate it with flowers.
You can also add water directly to decorate, but after a day, the carp's belly will get a little wet.
Therefore, please put water in the bamboo cylinder shown in the picture and decorate the flower in it.
There is a feeling of use, but there is no damage and the condition is very good.
How about decorating your room?
Also, I want many people to know the goodness of antiques, so I set the price reasonably.

Japanese Antique Pottery Hanging Vase/Edo/1800s/Boat-Shaped Vase
Located in Sammu-shi, Chiba
This is a black-glazed boat-shaped pottery made in the late Edo period of Japan.
This will be a hanging vase.
Pour water directly into this and decorate the flowers.
Also, perhaps this is a pottery called Seto-yaki.
Seto is an ancient kiln located in Aichi Prefecture.
Various shapes and colors were produced there, and in the late Edo period, dark glazed pottery was also produced.
When a dark brown glaze is applied, the areas with thick glaze look black, and the areas with thin glaze look brown.
I put water directly into this and left it for a day, but there was no water leakage.
I would say it is in very good condition.
Although it is a small item, it has a very strong presence.
It has a glossy and elegant appearance.
There are many types of Seto pottery...
