This is a large antique carved portrait. An Italian, oak decorative relief panel, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Of superb proportion and wonderful craftsmanship Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and medullary rays Striking relief portrait of a chieftain, replete with sword Dressed with a pair of small brass mounting loops, for ease of hanging This is a fascinating large antique carved portrait, of excellent size and displaying skilful craftsmanship.
