About the Item

Refined and unique reliquary set in a gilded wooden outer frame and a gilded wooden inner frame decorated with engraved floral motifs. The object is protected by glass, and at its center, an oval-shaped wax cameo sits. Although not clearly visible, it is attributed to a religious subject, likely depicting the Coronation of the Virgin or the Annunciation. Some letters are also visible around the central image of the cameo. It is believed that this reliquary was originally part of a casket or had a different outer frame. It is a very ancient and unique object, capable of adding a touch of refinement and history to any space. Italian manufacture, late 17th century. Dimensions: H x W x D 21.5 x 25 x 3cm
