Delightful devotional embroidery on ivory silk, depicting the Madonna and Child. The subject, taken from traditional iconographic patterns, is rendered with great sensitivity through meticulous hand-crafted work. The interweaving of threads in natural tones-cream, brown, gray, blue, and touches of red-defines the gentle expressions of faces and the draperies of robes with remarkable accuracy.
