Very rare small Majolica Palissy wall platter signed Auguste de Chauvigne dated 1829.
Auguste de Chauvigne ( 1829-1904)
Ceramist in Tours ( Center of France ) inspired by the Faience of Saint Porchaire.
A couple of his ceramics are presented in the Museum of decorative arts in Paris.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Francois Maurice pottery.
