Marilyn, the documentary narrated by Rock Hudson and created as a cinematic eulogy to Monroe who died the year before, traces Monroe’s early studio beginnings from inA Ticket to Tomahawk(1950) to her final screen moments in the unfinishedSomething’s Got to Give (1962). This impressive life sized Marilyn French Grande poster by Boris Grinsson certainly adds that touch of Hollywood to a room.
Boris Grinsson was a renowned Russian born French artist famous for drawing the designs for over 2000 French film posters for American, Italian, and French films during a career spanning forty years (from the 1930s to the 1970s). He produced a vast body of work in a variety of genres, including This Gun for Hire (1942), Gilda (1946), The Lady from Shanghai (1948) and From Russia with Love (1963).
This original vintage movie poster has been professionally linen-backed is sized an impressive 45 3/4 x 62 3/4 inches (plus a little more with the linen). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
