About the Item
Selling as a pair - Banner from the Robert Altman's 1976 film Buffalo Bill and the Indians; and Sitting Bull's History Lesson staring Paul Newman. Looks much older. This was used in the movie and purchased directly from the studio. Exact replica of the original; 33" x 84". Painting on linen; a composite of at least three 19th century posters. We assume most likely for a movie. Purchased from an antique shop in Los Angeles in the 1970's. When we acquired, both were displayed in a Colorado ranch house.
