About the Item

A beautiful and most decorative pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. ormolu and Ebony decorative wall plaques. Each wall decor retains its original rectangular mottled Ebony frame with the superb richly chased fitted ormolu plaques at the center. The plaque to the left depicts a beautiful maiden draped in a fine flowing fabric holding an arrow away from Cupid who is holding her hand with his bow in the other, while the plaque to the right also depicts a maiden facing a rock formation also draped in a wonderfully executed flowing garment.
