About the Item
A pair of Italian 19th century painted wood angel plaques. This pair of antique Italian plaques, perhaps originally used to decorate a chapel, feature a pair of facing winged angels, head's straight, bent on one knee, with palms together in praying position. These pieces retain their old paint, with bits of chipping and patina throughout, a lovely show of their history and age. This pair of 19th century angels from Italy would work best as wall decorations, though if placed leaning slightly supported by a wall at their backs, they could also be used atop a table or shelf.
