About the Item
A stunning and extremely decorative complete set of four Italian 19th century Florentine st. Pietra Dura marble and giltwood wall plaques. Each wall plaque displays beautiful wonderfully executed inlaid birds with superb arrays of colorful marbles and semi precious stones amidst charming and finely detailed flowers, branches, and leaves with lovely butterflies. The marbles and semi precious displayed are Lapis Lazuli, mother of pearl, Onyx and Vert de Patricia, to name but a few and all set on Black Belgian marble backgrounds. Each retains their original giltwood frame with elegant acanthus leaf carvings. All original gilt throughout.
