About the Item
Decorative stoneware wall plaque by Willi Fischer, produced in Sweden during the 1960s. The relief depicts a large daisy flower in white and yellow against a mottled green and blue glaze background, reflecting Fischer's signature combination of vibrant color and bold modern form. Executed in high-fired stoneware (stengods) with a glossy glaze surface and the original leather hanging strap intact. The reverse is impressed "STENGODS FISCHER"
The tile is in good vintage condition, displaying minor wear consitent with age and handmade production. There is a fine superficial glaze crack visible on close inspection probably originating from the firing process. There seems to be a very tiny chip at one corner. Both impurities are visible in the last two pictures. The imperfections do not affect stability or presentation. Overall, a charming and characteristic example of mid-century Scandinavian studio ceramics, full of warmth and texture.
