About the Item

A framed, woven textile with tufted centre by Danish textile artist, Inger Holst Sørensen. Raffia, wool, and jute fibres combine to create the deeply tactile centre of this framed textile. Similar in profile to "Porten Til", "The Gate", by Sørensen, this work similarly evokes the shape of an entrance or portal, signified by alternating textural fields.
