About the Item

Victorian copper jelly mold, made by W M Still Co in London, dated 1903 and marked with the British Broad Arrow no. 53. This symbol indicates that the item is government property. The Office of Ordnance, established in 1544 and later becoming the Board of Ordnance in 1597, was responsible for supplying guns, ammunition, and equipment to the Royal Navy.
