A postmodern illustration drawing in graphite and colored pencil titled “Study – Blueprint for a Perfect Lover (Male)” by Andre Sable. Signed and dated 1983 on the lower right and titled lower right. This artwork fuses anatomical study, erotic fantasy, and satirical commentary. Executed in pencil with soft blue and red accents, the drawing features schematics of the male form with idealized measurements, medical-style grids, tattoos, and personal attributes. It reads like a dreamlike technical plan, blending visual wit with cultural critique, and stands as a compelling artifact of 1980s conceptual and queer art. From a private collection. Andre Sable was an American artist known for his provocative postmodern figural drawings and conceptual illustrations.
