About the Item
A group of four pochoir illustrations by artist and designer E.A. Séguy from the early 1920's. Working in both Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles, his brightly colored patterns were intended to be used as inspiration for wallpaper and textiles as well as to teach design students. His samarkande (portfolios) remain exquisite examples of ornamentation and composition.
