This finely executed Grisaille chalk/pencil artwork measures 20.75 inches in height and 15 inches in width within its later neoclassical frame. The drawing skillfully captures the essence of a Roman antique-carved marble male torso with meticulously defined musculature, drapery, and a fig leaf.
The drawing bears a signature, possibly "JR(?) or RC(?)," in the lower right corner, adding to its historical intrigue.
