About the Item

Set of 8 Late 19th Century Pencil Watercolour Portraits, in the style of John Downman (1749 - 1824 ). Each with a fashionable Lady half length, watercolour over pencil heightened with white oval, 21.5 x 18cm. Frame size, 13.5" x 14.75" inches Winsor Newton Ltd label (water colour sketching board) on the reverse of portraits give indication that the set were framed around 1890
