The cluster of knotty male nudes depicted in this high-energy drawing by Ben Messick illustrates his mastery of mural painting and animation. He worked as a sketch artist at the Disney Studios in the 1940s, and painted several WPA murals in the Los Angeles area. His works are in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
