A charming set of 5 sketches by Poperinge artist Roger Vansevenant (1922-2013), framed in attractive wooden frames, signed in pencil by the artist.
Roger Vansevenant was a Belgian artist, graphic artist, and photographer born in Poperinge in 1922. Alongside his artistic career, he built a professional career as a graphic designer and co-founded a family printing company. He was a renowned Belgian artist, and his work regularly received awards, earning him the titles of Knight in the Order of Leopold and Knight in the Order of the Crown. He died in 2013 in Ypres.
Roger Vansevenant's work can be found in the collections of various national and international museums and institutions. His work regularly received awards, earning him the titles of Knight in the Order of Leopold and Knight in the Order of the Crown. The frames are in good used condition, with signs of age and use commensurate with their age. Please see the photos for more details.
