Original oil on canvas painting of Biblical or historical motif with what appears to be an aging king surrounded by attendants. Unknown artist, no signature. Old label on back of painting reads, "L. Bercy. Artiste P_intre. Restauranteur de Tableaux, 16 Rue Hoche 16, Versailles. The canvas has craquelure and retouches throughout, reflective of age (over 200 years old). Canvas will benefit from cleaning which we leave to the discretion of buyer. Frame shows typical age-related wear with some minor scuffs, scratches and stains, etc. Strong/stable and ready to be hung.
