A serene oil on canvas signed at the center top ‘Charlotte Malsbary’, and dated Paris - 1934. The scene depicts a dragonfly with delicate wings, set against a pebbled shore with blooming purple irises. The water reflects soft clouds in an evening sky. Set in a coral colored frame. In the back to the right is a label that reads “ 9. Dragon Fly by Malsbary, Charlotte Studio Guild 750 5 Ave NYC”, to the left in pencil reads “Fine Moyenne”.
