About the Item
Original abstract oil on board by Swedish artist Gustaf Holger Fritiof (1913-1972) who painted under the name Kulo Green.
The son of a master painter he studied at the Technical Evening School in Stockholm in 1938-1939 before joining the Académie André Lhote in 1947 where he worked alongside Picasso.
He exhibited in Sweden throughout the 40s, 50’s and 60’s and was commissioned to produce multiple public works.
Presented in the original frame this is a beautiful bold composition which exhibits great technical ability and a very pleasing colour palette.
