This elegant 19th-century oil portrait presents Charlotte Baroness von Hirschberg (1792–1857).
She is shown with curled hair, a pearl necklace, and a red sash with a ladies’ order, reflecting her noble status and refined taste of the Biedermeier period.
On the back, a handwritten inscription notes: “Copied from the original in Weihersberg – Charlotte Baroness von Hirschberg, canoness of the Order of St. Stephen in Augsburg – born July 13, 1792 † October 5, 1857.” This valuable provenance confirms her identity and authenticity.
Created around 1870, the painting shows signs of age and is framed as a pendant to the portrait of her husband, Adam Franz Bernhard, Baron von Hirschberg (see other listing).
