Decorate a study or office with this elegant antique oil painting. Painted in France and dated 1862, the canvas is set in an important carved giltwood frame. The subject matter depicts five portraits of a priest family titled "Les Quatres Freres et un Neveu" ( the four brothers and a nephew ). The art work also titled "Elegi Eos Mihi in Sacerdotes" is a Latin phrase which translates to "I have chosen them for myself as priests"; this expression is often found in religious texts and liturgical contexts, emphasizing divine selection or appointment.
